For 15 seasons, Boulder Opera Company has been bringing the power, beauty, and excitement of live opera to Boulder and communities across Colorado. This October, we invite you to celebrate this milestone with us at Night at the Salon, an immersive Boulder Opera gala celebrating where we’ve been—and helping secure what comes next.
But this isn’t your traditional gala.
Step Into the World of Opera
On October 17, guests will enter an atmosphere inspired by the glamour, drama, romance, and theatricality of opera. Throughout the evening, music and storytelling will move beyond the concert stage and into the space around you.
Enjoy catered hors d’oeuvres and drinks, explore our silent auction, step into theatrical environments inspired by our productions, dress up with opera costumes and props at our photo experience, and encounter singers performing in unexpected places.
For one evening, we want you to feel as though you have stepped inside an opera.
The concert will feature favorite arias and ensembles as well as musical highlights connected to Boulder Opera’s upcoming season, including Verdi’s La Traviata and Gounod’s Faust. Featured artists include tenor Daniel Miller, soprano Bridget Ravenscraft, and other outstanding local singers and musicians.
Celebrating 15 Seasons—and Building the Next 15
Night at the Salon is a celebration, but it is also an important fundraiser for Boulder Opera Company.
Over the past 15 seasons, Boulder Opera has worked to make professional opera more accessible to our community. Our work reaches beyond the mainstage through opera education programs for children, school outreach, performances for senior communities, Opera in the Park, family programming, and opportunities for local professional musicians and singers.
We believe opera can bring people together.
It can introduce a child to classical music for the first time. It can create a shared experience between generations. It can bring music to someone who may not be able to attend a traditional performance. And it can provide meaningful artistic opportunities for the extraordinary musicians who live and work in Colorado.
Our goal for the next chapter is simple: bring opera to more people, touch more lives, and create meaningful experiences for audiences of every age and level of familiarity with the art form.
A Community Celebration
We are especially grateful for the tremendous support we have received from local businesses, nonprofits, artists, restaurants, and community partners who have contributed experiences, services, food, and items to our silent auction.
Their generosity is a reminder that Boulder Opera’s story has never belonged to one person or one organization. It has been built by a community of artists, audiences, donors, volunteers, businesses, educators, families, and friends who believe that the arts matter.
Now we invite you to become part of that story.
Help Us Elevate the Next Chapter
Come celebrate 15 seasons of Boulder Opera. Raise a glass with us. Hear extraordinary singers up close. Bid on something special. Bring a friend who has never experienced opera before.
Most importantly, help us secure a vibrant future for opera in Boulder.
With your support, we can reach more children, serve more communities, employ more local artists, create more unforgettable experiences, and continue making opera something that belongs to everyone.
Join us for Night at the Salon: Boulder Opera’s 15th Season Celebration on October 17, 2026, from 6–9 PM at The Studio in Boulder.
Let’s celebrate what we have built together—and elevate what comes next.
